Description
Nootropic Research Peptides
Lyophilised Powder
Selank (TP-7) is a synthetic heptapeptide developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is a structural analogue of tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), an immunomodulatory tetrapeptide naturally produced by enzymatic cleavage of the Fc region of IgG immunoglobulin. Selank extends tuftsin’s sequence with a Pro-Gly-Pro tripeptide at the C-terminus, conferring enhanced metabolic stability and modified biological activity in experimental models.
Published peer-reviewed research has investigated Selank’s effects on multiple neurobiological systems. Studies have examined its influence on GABA-ergic neurotransmission, including modulation of GABA-A receptor sensitivity and benzodiazepine binding sites. Research has explored its effects on monoamine metabolism — specifically serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine turnover — in brain tissue models. Published studies have also investigated Selank’s effects on BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) expression, enkephalin gene transcription, and inflammatory cytokine profiles (IL-6, TNF-?) in both neural and immune cell models. The compound has been the subject of clinical-stage investigations in Russia, where it has been studied for its anxiolytic-like profile without sedative effects in behavioural models.
This product is supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed glass vial. It is intended exclusively for use in controlled laboratory settings by qualified researchers.
